It's for reasons like these that we spend so much time and energy on projects like our on-line publishing efforts. We have an extraordinary amount of information of interest to Pick (and Pick-like) professionals available through our Web site, ranging from technical articles to our newest category, On-Line Books. As many of you are aware, Pick books are hard to find these days in your local bookstore. We have begun a new effort where we are taking some of our previous titles that are now out of print and publishing them on the World Wide Web, where they are available at no cost to anyone who has a Web browser. Pick/BASIC: A Programmer's Guide is the first of these projects at JES. It is currently available through the URL: http://www.jes.com/pb/ In time, we hope to publish all of our books this way. Incidentally, when we wrote Encyclopedia Pick for Pick Systems, the on-line version (EPick) was designed to be dropped into a hypertext engine. This was a few years before the Web came along. All the text from our most popular book, the Pick Pocket Guide, is included in EPick and is now available on the Web at Pick Systems' Web site.
